I have a 2019 GT with Active Exhaust. Can I install a cheaper "Non-Active" system?
No. If you install a standard exhaust on an Active Valve car, you have nowhere to plug in the valve motors. This will trigger a "Drive Mode Unavailable" error and a Check Engine Light. You must buy an Active Valve Compatible system (like Corsa Active or Borla Active) that includes the mounting points for your factory valve actuators.
X-Pipe vs. H-Pipe: Which one should I buy?
It depends entirely on the sound you want.
- H-Pipe: Connects the two banks with a straight cross-bar. It creates a deep, "burble" sound that mimics classic muscle cars.
- X-Pipe: Merges the two banks in an "X" shape. It smooths out the pulses, creating a higher-pitched, raspier "NASCAR" scream at high RPMs.
Can I install Quad Tips on my 2016 GT?
Yes, but not directly.
The 2015–2017 GT rear bumper valance only has openings wide enough for single tips. To run a 2018+ style Quad Tip exhaust, you must replace your rear valance with a Roush Valance or a GT350 Style Valance that has wider openings.
