Verified Fitment Guide

• Tailgate Step (Critical):
  • Standard Tailgate: Uses standard mounting brackets.
  • Integrated Tailgate Step: The "Man Step" makes the top of the tailgate thicker. You MUST select a kit that includes the Spacer/Shim Kit (e.g., AMP Research) to ensure the extender clears the step mechanism when flipping.
• Shape & Design:
  • U-Shape (HD Max): Rounded profile. Provides the maximum enclosed space. Best for ATVs and wide cargo.
  • V-Shape (HD Sport): Tapered profile. improved aerodynamics and allows easier access to the sides of the tailgate.
  • Hitch Mount (Goal Post): Mounts into the 2.5" or 3" receiver hitch. Best for hauling 16-foot lumber or canoes that extend well past the tailgate.
• 5th Wheel Clearance:
  • If you have a 5th Wheel or Gooseneck hitch in the center of the bed, a flip-over extender may hit the hitch ball when flipped inward. Measure the distance from your tailgate to your hitch pucks before ordering.
