Why would I buy an Axle-Back instead of a Cat-Back?

Is it hard to cut the factory exhaust?
Not really. The kits come with detailed instructions on exactly where to measure and mark the cut (usually a few inches behind the muffler). You can use a Sawzall (reciprocating saw) or a chain pipe cutter. Once cut, the new Axle-Back slides over the remaining pipe and clamps down.
Will a muffler delete axle-back drone?
Yes. If you remove the muffler on a 5.0L or EcoBoost and replace it with straight pipe, it will be loud inside the cabin at highway speeds. This is great for a weekend toy, but can be tiring on a daily driver family truck.
