Can I put LED bulbs in my halogen headlight housings?
Technically yes, but we do not recommend it. Putting an LED bulb into a housing designed for halogen mirrors scatters light everywhere, blinding oncoming traffic and giving you a poor beam pattern. The correct way to upgrade is a full LED Assembly Replacement (Projector) that focuses the light properly.
What is the difference between "SAE" and "Off-Road" fog lights?
- SAE (Street Legal): These have a sharp cutoff line to prevent blinding other drivers. You can run them on the highway with your low beams.
- Off-Road (Sport/Pro): These throw light everywhere (Flood/Spot). They are incredibly bright but will get you a ticket (and flashed by neighbors) if used on pavement.
How do I wire these to my Upfitter Switches?
The Ford Super Duty Upfitter wires are located under the hood near the firewall (driver's side) and/or fuse box.
