No. A throttle controller does not increase boost or timing. It cannot add horsepower. However, it feels like you added 50HP because it allows the engine to access its power immediately rather than waiting for the computer to ramp up the throttle blade. Will it void my warranty?
No. Because it does not alter the ECU software (flash), it cannot be detected by dealer diagnostic tools once removed. It is a physical "pass-through" device. If you are going in for major warranty work, simply unplug it and tuck the connector back to stock (takes 5 minutes).
Why not just press the pedal harder?
