Why should I choose Yellow (Amber) fog lights over White?
It comes down to optical physics.
Bright white light heavily reflects off of water droplets (fog/rain) and falling snow, creating a blinding "wall of white" glare directly in front of the driver.
Yellow (3000K) light has a longer wavelength that physically penetrates moisture far better and drastically reduces that reflective glare. If you live in a snowy or heavy-rain climate, Amber is functionally superior to white for visibility.
Are aftermarket LED pods actually street legal?
Only if they specifically say "SAE J583."
