Do I actually have to remove my front bumper and grille to install new headlights?
Yes, the front fascia must come off.
GMC engineered the Sierra so that the headlights are physically bolted behind the front grille and upper bumper valence. To install a premium set of Morimoto headlights, you have to pop the hood, remove the top radiator cover, unbolt the massive front grille, and pull the painted trim pieces forward. While it sounds intimidating, it is completely bolt-on and can be done in your driveway in a few hours with basic hand tools.
Are Morimoto and AlphaRex headlights completely plug-and-play?
