What just happened? Stacking.

You effectively created a massive 4-inch lift (2" Factory + 2" Spacer) without dropping the front differential or upgrading the control arms. The suspension angles are now so incredibly steep that the metal components are physically binding against each other.

Can I put a standard 2-inch leveling kit on my Silverado Trail Boss?

Absolutely not, unless it is specifically engineered for it.

The Trail Boss already utilizes a 2-inch factory lift. If you stack a standard 2-inch aftermarket spacer on top of it, you will completely destroy your CV axles and upper ball joints within months due to the extreme angles.

The Fix: Buy a specific "Trail Boss Leveling Kit" (usually 1.5 to 1.75 inches from ReadyLIFT). This adds just enough height to level the remaining Trail Boss rake without over-extending your suspension components.

Will leveling my Silverado make the ride quality harsh and stiff?

It depends entirely on the kit you choose.

• Spacer Kits (ReadyLIFT): No. Because you retain your exact factory coil springs and shocks, the ride feels virtually identical to stock.
• Upgraded Shocks (Bilstein / Eibach): Yes, but in a good way. These replace the cheap factory shock valving. This makes the ride firmer, much more controlled, and completely eliminates the "boat-like" body roll and nose-dive during heavy braking.

What is the biggest tire I can fit with a standard 2-inch level?

33-Inch Tires (e.g., 285/70R18 or 33x12.50).

With a premium 2-inch level, you can comfortably clear a 33-inch tire on factory wheels.

Note: If you run aftermarket wheels with an aggressive negative offset (like a -12mm or -24mm), the wider stance changes the scrub radius, meaning you may still slightly rub the mud flaps or front fender liner when turning in reverse.
