Verified Fitment Guide
- Raptor-Style Grille Lights:
- Grille Matters: The mesh pattern on an XL/STX is different from an XLT or Lariat. You must select the kit designed for your specific grille trim to ensure the brackets clip in correctly.
- Wiring: These typically tap into the parking light wire so they turn on automatically with your headlights.
- Rock Lights (Wheel Wells):
- RGB vs. RGB+W: Standard RGB uses red, green, and blue to mix white (which often looks blueish). RGB+W has a dedicated Pure White LED chip for crisp, functional work lighting.
- Mounting: Requires screwing into the plastic fender liner or metal frame.
- RGB vs. RGB+W: Standard RGB uses red, green, and blue to mix white (which often looks blueish). RGB+W has a dedicated Pure White LED chip for crisp, functional work lighting.
- Power Source:
- Upfitter Switches: If your truck has the overhead Aux switches, you can wire your rock lights or grille lights directly to a switch for easy on/off.
- Fuse Tap: For trucks without Aux switches, use an "Add-a-Fuse" (Micro2) in the passenger kick panel fuse box to power lights with the ignition.
- Interior Kits:
- Optical Fiber: Modern kits use fiber optic tubes that tuck into dashboard gaps for a neon-like "Tron" look, rather than bulky LED strips.
