Verified Fitment Guide

• 2WD (RWD) Fitment:
  • Most 2WD F-150s have the mounting holes in the frame, but they are covered by a solid plastic valance (air dam).
  • Installation: To install hooks on a 2WD, you typically need to trim the plastic valance or replace it with the 4WD version (which has pre-cut holes).
• Factory Hook Upgrade (4WD):
  • Direct Bolt-On. If your truck already has hooks, upgrading to aftermarket shackle mounts is a 10-minute swap using the existing bolts.
• Bull Bar Interference:
  • Most Bull Bars and Grille Guards mount to the same frame holes as the tow hooks. Generally, you cannot have both. You must choose between a Bull Bar or Tow Hooks unless the bar has integrated hooks.
• Styles:
  • OEM Style: The standard chrome or black closed loop.
  • Shackle Mount (Demon Bracket): A vertical steel plate with a hole for a 3/4" D-Ring shackle. Pro: Safer for angled pulls. Con: Shackles can rattle if not isolated.
