Sasquatch vs. Non-Sasquatch: How to Level Your Bronco Without Breaking an Axle
Share
The 2021–2025 Ford Bronco is an incredible machine, but navigating the different trim levels can feel like learning a foreign language.
You have Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak... and then the coveted "Sasquatch Package" thrown on top of everything.
When it comes to leveling your Bronco, knowing exactly which suspension package you have is a matter of life or death for your CV axles.
If you have a Base or Big Bend model (equipped with the HOSS 1.0 suspension), bolting on a premium 2-inch ReadyLIFT or Zone Offroad spacer works perfectly. It kills the factory rake and gives you the room you need to squeeze 35-inch tires past the crash bars.
But if you try to bolt that exact same 2-inch spacer onto a Sasquatch or Badlands model (which features the HOSS 2.0 lifted Bilstein suspension), you are asking for trouble. You will immediately over-extend the suspension geometry, causing your upper control arms to bind and your CV axles to snap the first time you hit a trail.
In this guide, we break down the critical differences between leveling a Standard Bronco vs. a Sasquatch Bronco, and help you decide whether you need billet top spacers, ICON perch collars, or a complete FOX / Ford Performance coilover overhaul.

Frequently Asked Questions (Leveling Kits)
Can I fit 35-inch tires with just a leveling kit?
Yes, but it depends on your trim.
- On Non-Sasquatch Models: A premium 2-inch spacer (like ReadyLIFT) allows for 35x12.50 tires, but you must remove or replace your factory crash bars to stop the tires from rubbing when you turn the wheel.
- On Sasquatch Models: You already have 35s. Adding a small 1-inch collar lift pushes you closer to fitting 37s, though serious off-roading with 37s will require a larger lift and fiberglass fenders.
What is the difference between a Spacer and a Perch Collar?
Where the lift happens.
A Top Spacer bolts above the entire shock assembly, pushing the whole unit down. A Perch Collar installs inside the shock assembly, sitting under the spring to compress (preload) it. For Sasquatch models with factory Bilsteins, perch collars are much safer because they do not increase the overall "droop" length of the shock, which protects your CV axles from overextending.
Will leveling my Bronco void my warranty?
Generally, No.
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a dealership cannot void your entire vehicle warranty just because you installed an aftermarket part. However, if you install a massive spacer that causes a CV axle to snap, they can deny warranty coverage for that specific axle. This is why we highly recommend engineered kits from Ford Performance or ReadyLIFT, which are designed specifically to keep your suspension geometry within safe factory tolerances.
