The Cognito Alpha PRO Ball Joint fits the 2011-2014 Chevy Silverado 3500HD and replaces the factory upper ball joint with a bootless, greaseable, alloy-steel design built for heavy-duty IFS abuse.

Designed for use with Cognito upper control arms.

Install Difficulty: Professional Install Only
Pressing the ball joint into the upper control arm requires a shop press or ball joint press, typically 1-2 hours per side; professional alignment required after any suspension modification.

Product Overview

This patented upper ball joint (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700) ditches the traditional dust boot for a durable scraper-type seal that won't tear under hard off-road use.

The internals are all alloy steel with no plastic liner, paired with a carburized, surface-coated taper pin and oversized sphere for higher pullout strength and longer wear life than OE.

Pre-greased with Lithium Complex Grade 2 grease and fitted with a zerk for periodic service, it gives Silverado 3500HD owners the durability of a ball joint with the articulation of a uni-ball.
