The Cognito Alpha PRO Ball Joint fits the 2011-2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD and replaces the factory upper ball joint with a sealed, greaseable, alloy-steel design built for IFS suspension abuse.

Designed for use with Cognito upper control arms.

Install Difficulty: Professional Install Only
Requires pressing the ball joint into the Cognito upper control arm with a shop press or ball joint press; typically takes 1-2 hours per side. Professional alignment recommended after any suspension modification.

Product Overview

This patented upper ball joint eliminates the failure-prone rubber dust boot, using a scraper-type seal that resists tearing from rocks, debris, and weather.

The internals are alloy steel with alloy races and grease paths — no plastic liner — giving it greater pullout strength and longer life than OEM-style joints.

A high-angle design accommodates more suspension travel on lifted Sierra 2500HD trucks, and the top-mounted grease fitting feeds an internal cavity for periodic maintenance.
