The Cognito Alpha PRO Ball Joint fits the 2011-2014 GMC Sierra 3500HD and replaces the upper ball joint with a bootless, heavy-duty design built for IFS suspension.

Designed for use with Cognito upper control arms.

Upper ball joint replacement requires a press or ball joint service tool and upper control arm removal; typically takes 2-3 hours per side. Professional alignment required after installation.

Product Overview

The Alpha PRO is a patented upper ball joint (U.S. Pat. 10,731,700) that eliminates the traditional dust/grease boot in favor of a durable scraper-type seal. The internals are alloy steel with alloy races and grease paths, with no plastic liner.

A carburized, surface-coated taper pin rides in an oversized sphere socket for a larger contact surface and superior wear resistance. Pre-greased with Lithium Complex Grade 2 grease and built with a zinc-plated housing for corrosion resistance.

This ball joint is engineered for use with Cognito upper control arms on the 2011-2014 GMC Sierra 3500HD.
