The Cognito Alpha PRO Ball Joint fits the 2015-2019 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and replaces the upper ball joint with a bootless, heavy-duty design built for IFS suspensions.
It pairs with Cognito upper control arms and delivers uni-ball performance with serviceable ball joint durability.
Product Overview
The Alpha PRO uses a scraper-type seal in place of a traditional dust boot, eliminating the most common failure point on lifted HD trucks. Internals are alloy steel with alloy races and grease paths -- no plastic liner -- for greater pullout strength and longer service life.
A carburized, surface-coated taper pin seats into an oversized sphere for maximum contact area and wear resistance. A top-mounted grease fitting feeds an internal cavity pre-filled with Lithium Complex Grade 2 grease for easy periodic maintenance.
Designed to run with Cognito upper control arms on the 2015-2019 Silverado 2500HD, the joint accommodates the higher angles created by leveling and lift setups.
